WFIC 2026 Roundtables
Roll up your sleeves and engage your peers in discussion about a variety of topics relevant to financial information executives. Roundtables are informal, small group discussions on key issues for the industry. Each table will be focused on a different, specific financial information topic. Some tables will provide an opportunity to follow up or preview topics with speakers from the plenary program. Facilitated by industry experts, these sessions will provide the opportunity to get caught up on the latest developments or take a “deep dive” into an issue with other practitioners.

Prediction Markets: From Fad to Franchise and the Impact on the Market Data Business
Prediction markets are evolving rapidly from a niche curiosity into a legitimate asset class and data source. We'll surface where organizations are getting stuck and offer practical approaches to more cost-effective and higher-value AI adoption that can keep pace with the market. Participants will examine how data providers, regulators, and market actors can collaborate to build a connected ecosystem.

The Value of Licensed, Trusted Content in the Age of AI
The AI debate is shifting from model novelty to information integrity - whose AI is grounded in current, attributable, rights-cleared content that professionals can actually defend? Speed matters, but defensibility matters more. As AI moves into research, monitoring, diligence, portfolio analysis, advisory, and client-facing workflows, trusted content becomes part of the control framework. This discussion will examine several facets of this issue including scalability, auditability, and the relative importance of information architecture v. model build.
Facilitator: Joanna Appleton, Head of Content Strategy, Dow Jones Newswires

We will address the key challenges of monitoring liquidity across disparate trading venues and meeting rising expectations for complete, end-to-end order lifecycle visibility. The conversation will examine how compliance teams balance stringent regulatory mandates with operational realities, spanning fixed income, OTC derivatives, and beyond. What will effective, future-proof market surveillance look like in 2026?

Smart contracts powered by real-time market data: Disruption, risks, and challenges
Exchanges are uniquely positioned because they provide trusted prices, regulated data and governance. Smart contracts can trigger trading, settlement or collateral movements automatically. That enables new tokenized products like automated collateral management with a huge disruptive potential for traditional human or algo-led trading and settlement processes. But what if the underlying data is wrong? What if there is a technical bug sitting hidden in dark? This roundtable will discuss overcoming these risks and challenges and how to avoid bad decisions?
