Tim Baker has over 30 years of US financial services expertise across a wide variety of disciplines, including sell-side research, banking, M&A, technology, data, and data science. He has held senior roles at IEX, Thomson Reuters/Refinitiv and UBS, while also working with and investing in a range of fintech firms including Expero and BMLL.

In 2024, Tim co-founded viaNexus, following the acquisition of IEX Cloud. As CEO, he has overseen its evolution into a high-performance financial data platform built for the API and AI era. viaNexus provides developers, fintechs and institutions with fast, reliable access to a broad range of reference, real-time and alternative datasets, while pioneering agent-native data access to power the next generation of intelligent systems.

Today, viaNexus operates through three deployment models: Marketplace, its multi-tenant platform for rapidly onboarding, distributing and monetizing financial data; Direct, a single-tenant, white-label solution enabling exchanges and other data owners to distribute data directly to their customers; and MDM, an enterprise deployment for managing data onboarding, governance, distribution and entitlements across complex organizations.
