Chris Lee, Principal Software Architect, FactSet Research Systems
Christopher Lee is a Principal Software Architect at FactSet Research Systems. He has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Purdue University. At FactSet, he has 18 years of experience building market data applications, distribution infrastructure, and APIs. He enjoys the everyday engineering challenges around efficient ingestion, caching, compression, and fan-out. In 2018, Christopher received FactSet’s Charles J. Snyder Technologist of the Year award for designing, implementing, and shipping an ultralow bandwidth directed broadcast UDP-over-WAN solution for web applications.
Chris considers himself very fortunate that his personal hobbies largely overlap with his everyday work. He enjoys Ruby, Erlang/OTP, Elixir, a tidy wire protocol and a good happy hour. Christopher is currently the engineering lead for FactSet’s Unified Market Data API.
