Leon Sinclair, Head of Product, Preqin

Leon Sinclair is Head of Product at Preqin, where he leads product strategy, innovation, and the development of solutions for the global private markets industry. 

With more than 20 years of experience across financial data, analytics, software, and professional services, Leon has held senior leadership roles spanning both public and private markets at S&P Global, IHS Markit, and ICE Data Services.

Prior to joining Preqin, Leon was Managing Director and Global Head of Private Equity and Debt Services at S&P Global, where he led a high-growth business serving investors, asset managers, and financial institutions across the alternatives ecosystem.

Throughout his career, Leon has built deep relationships across the investment industry, actively engaged with regulators and industry bodies, and developed extensive expertise in the data, technology, and market structures that underpin public and private capital markets. 

He is passionate about leveraging data and AI to improve transparency, efficiency, and decision-making across the alternative investment life cycle.
