Sally Moore Executive Vice President, Global Head of Strategy, M&A and Partnerships, S&P Global
Sally Moore is Executive Vice President, Global Head of Strategy, M&A and Partnerships for S&P Global and sits on the executive committee for the firm. She is responsible for defining the firm’s corporate strategy, leading on portfolio reviews and executing acquisitions, divestitures, JVs and venture investments. She also drives the organization’s partnerships strategy, which includes the enterprise-wide Content Acquisition and Rights Management team, providing content and services through strategic partners across the industry to drive value creation.
Sally joined S&P Global in 2022 through the $40bn merger with IHS Markit, playing a pivotal role in the merger as IHS Markit’s Global Head of Corporate Development & Strategic Alliances. At merger close, Sally was appointed Head of the Integration Management Office, and has seen S&P Global execute on its cost synergies ahead of time. In 2023, Sally led the signing of S&P Global’s multi-year strategic collaboration with AWS to pioneer the next generation of technology. She joined Markit in 2006 and subsequently led the European credit business and global loan business. She was a driving force behind Markit’s IPO in 2014, and $13bn merger with IHS Markit in 2016. Previously, she spent six years at Thomson Reuters as co-head of the Loan Pricing Corporation’s operations in Europe, and later as a senior vice president and co-head of sales in North America.
Alongside her role, Sally operates as Chair of S&P Global’s Regional Shared Network and UK lead, helping to set the company’s strategic direction locally and across the globe. She is also Executive Sponsor of S&P Global’s People Resource Group ParentsNet and a regular speaker at women’s forums. Externally, Sally sits on the Board for KKR’s portfolio company Accuris, Illuminate Financial and OSTTRA. Sally is also a founding member of the UK National Numeracy Leadership Council and featured in the HERoes Top 100 Women Executives in 2021.
